Good location and good value
This hotel is quite new in Kathmandu, it has been open only a few months and I left very impressed with the quality for the price. This hotel has a quirky mix of western and Nepali design. The beds were so comfortable, bathooms were all new and spotless and my room had a great size balcony's also. The restaurant was still being completed when I stayed, was informed it should be done by the end of May. They were serving breakfast on the roof terrace which was reasonably priced, but given the location there are also many many restaurants in Thamel to choose from so wasn't too bothered by this. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.
New hotel, quirky staff, great location
We had been staying at Kantipur Temple Guest House but moved here because the price of accommodation was vastly better (4 times cheaper). The hotel is in a new precinct in the centre of Thamel. The rooms are modern, bright and spacious and well equipped with ensuite bathrooms. The hotel is run by very friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is kept clean by an army of people who do a great job. The 'rooftop restaurant' was a bit of a surprise! On our first day it was just a rooftop with a plastic table. Next day there were a few potted plants added. The following day more tables and more plants. then lighting. Then a plastic deer! As we said, this is a new hotel! Breakfast was served on the rooftop and it was delicious. All food freshly prepared and served witha smile by our friendly waiter. On our last day the staff proudly announced the 'buffet breakfast' on the roof terrace. The food was prepared on the rooftop, by a host of staff who were so excited it was difficult not to join them in their excitement - so we did, along with the other guests! Would definitely return.
